What is acne?

Acne is an inherited disorder of the pores and it is often associated with inflammation. Someone with "normal" skin typically sheds about 1 layer of cells per day, while someone with acne-prone skin sheds up to 5 layers. These dead skin cells can easily become trapped in the pore, leading to breakouts. There are different types of acne and many different causes. It's important to take all of this into account when treating acne. For example, someone with non-inflamed breakouts should be treating their skin differently than someone with inflamed breakouts. This is where Face Reality comes in.
What is Face Reality?

Face Reality Skin Care is a highly effective, customized treatment program for those suffering with acne. With a 90% success rate, clients typically experience results within 3-4 months. Face Reality offers a unique combination of products/ingredients to target all different types of acne and keep pores clear. As your Face Reality Skin Care specialist, I will help teach you about aggravating factors that may be contributing to your acne, such as foods, medications/supplements, pore clogging ingredients, etc. I will also do a thorough skin analysis and choose the best products for your skin, as well as teach you exactly how to use them.
Clearing acne isn't an overnight process, but I will help you every step of the way to achieve lasting results. We will check-in with each other every two weeks and make any adjustments to your homecare and treatment plan if needed.
How does the program work?

The pillar of the Face Reality program is the homecare products. Upon consultation, I will choose a comprehensive routine for you to use morning and night. Bi-weekly acne facial treatments are recommended to help the clearing process. Once skin is clear, monthly maintenance treatments are recommended. Learn more about the acne facials below.

During your appointment, we will discuss the program and answer any questions you may have. I will invite you to fill out a questionnaire beforehand, and we will discuss my recommendations for you. This is a great way to see exactly what the program entails, and if it is a good fit for you.

Only available to current acne program clients.
Includes a deep cleanse, exfoliation (enzyme or light peel), extractions, LED light therapy, and high frequency. Treatments are customized to address what your skin is needing that day.
